The psalms of King David, appreciated by people from all spiritual traditions, will be brought to life through music, poetry and humor by Rabbi Zaslow, in an entertaining and enlightening performance. Rabbi Zaslow was ordained by Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi in 1995, and is the spiritual leader of B’nai Or of Boston (www.bnaior.org <http://www.bnaior.org> ) as well as of Havurah Shir Hadash Synagogue in Ashland, Oregon. He is the author of "Thou Shalt Wander Forty Years" and the editor of the Jewish Renewal prayer book "Ivdu et Hashem B'Simcha." He has recently completed a book called “Roots and Branches” and is hoping to find a Christian publisher sometime this year. Opening performers are Kimberly Salico-Diehl an accomplished recitalist, accompanist, and choral director in the Metro-NY area and Kurt Allan Walker, a 10-year veteran of the Tanglewood Festival Chorus of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and background vocalist on James Taylor’s concert tour, “One Man Band”. Both Kimberly and Kurt are currently enrolled in the Master of Divinity program at Andover Newton Theological School. The concert will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 7:30 pm at Andover Newton Theological School, Wilson Chapel, 210 Herrick Rd., Newton Centre, MA. The cost is $15 for adults and $10 for students. Proceeds to go to “Journeys on the Hill”, the Hebrew College and Andover Newton Theological School interfaith community. Her European work begins in Amsterdam, Holland, in conjunction with the International Jewish Music Festival, on the weekend of May 9-12.
