Shir HaLev: The Boulder Jewish Chorus returns with new songs for the season, from Rosh HaShanah through Hanukkah, Sunday, December 10, 7 p.m. at the Boulder JCC. Enjoy new and contemporary pieces, as well as some old favorites, particularly for the Festival of Lights. A reception with light refreshments will follow the concert. Shir HaLev: The Boulder Jewish Chorus performs choral music spanning all Jewish traditions, cultures and languages. The chorus is open to adults and teens and welcomes new members. Morah Yehudis Fishman brings a palpable passion for Torah and Judaism to her work as a teacher and mentor. A renowned educator, Morah Yehudis Fishman has been sharing the wisdom of Torah with students for more than 25 years. Her unique ability to convey Jewish principles and unravel the mysteries of Jewish mysticism in a personally meaningful and non-judgmental manner has earned the affection of her devoted students.

Linda Fenner Scholarship Application Deadline Extended

Community leader Linda Fenner's (of blessed memory) husband Terry Fenner created a scholarship fund in Linda's memory to promote leadership development programs for young Jewish women. The fund is housed at and administered by the Jewish Community Foundation (JCF). Scholarship funds of up to $2,500 per awardee will enable Jewish women between the ages of 21 and 45, to attend educational conferences, missions to Israel, and other young adult programs that will develop their leadership skills in order to better the Jewish community. Applicants must be a Colorado resident and have been identified as a Jewish leader or as someone with leadership potential in the Jewish community. A weekly gathering for people who read Biblical Hebrew and are interested in studying sections of the weekly Torah Portion selected for the general themes of spiritual development they represent. We read and understand the narrative in both Hebrew and English; we meditate upon the readings to discern personal spiritual messages, and to sense of God’s presence in our lives.

Longmont Shabbat Group

The Longmont Shabbat Group will hold its next service on Friday, Dec. 15, 7:30 p.m. This community-based Jewish group holds informal Jewish Shabbat services on the third Friday of every month. Pardes Levavot Circle of Family Education Program Community Chanukah Service and Party

Join Pardes Levavot at the Latke Palace, 1st night of Chanukah, Friday, December 15 at Pardes Levavot, 71st and Lookout Road, Boulder. Candle Lighting begins at 5:30pm. Bring your own Chanukiah and candles as well as a donation for the continuance of the shared sacred space: pastel copier paper, toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, liquid hand soap, or cash donations. Chanukah and Shabbat singing/Shabbat Service begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner, dessert, Israeli Dancing, arts and crafts for the kids and of course, mountains of latkes!
