CommUNITY Walk – We are all in this together!

Restoring the Soul: Faith and Community Partnerships and the Buddhist Coalition are sponsoring a walk Thursday, April 23 at noon to give voice to a common commitment to help one another through these difficult times and encourage hope for the future.

This is an opportunity for all sectors of the community: individuals, congregations, government, service agencies, businesses, etc., to acknowledge the pervasive challenges and our deep concerns for homelessness, hunger, job and home loss, business closure as well as other impacts.

Participants in the Walk will meet at the bandshell in Central Park at noon, walk up Broadway to the Mall at Pearl and walk east to the Court House lawn where Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi will give the first of two short talks on the environment of caring. We are asking someone in the County government to give the second talk.
