How Can I Keep From Singing

hosted by Sound Circle and Resonance Women's Chorus

Please join us for a free concert celebrating the outcome of the election and the prospect of new leadership for our country. Four years ago, we came together after the 2004 election in a concert titled Nobody Is An Island: Music for a Purple Country. How Can I Keep From Singing, to be performed on Tue sday, Nov. 11 at 7:00 pm, is a sequel to that 2004 concert that none of us ever imagined.

In addition to choral singing by Sound Circle, Resonance, and the Denver Gay Men's Chorus, the program will include The Low Flying Knobs, a women's marimba ensemble playing high energy dance music from Zimbabwe and South Africa; singer-storyteller Eve Ilsen; and audience singing led by the Boulder trio Somethin' About Lulu and by African singing teacher Nii Armah Sowah.

The concert is at the First United Methodist Church, 1421 Spruce St., in Boulder. Doors open at 6:30. There is no advance ticketing. Call 303-473-4525 for information.
