To: The Congregants of Congregation Bonai Shalom, Congregation Har HaShem, Kehilath Aish Kodesh, Congregation Nevei Kodesh, Congregation Pardes Levavot, Chabad Lubavitch of Boulder, Congregation Beth Ami Colorado Congregation for Humanistic Judaism,

As you probably know, Passover starts on Monday, March 29th at sundown. Every year Boulder Jewish Family Service reaches out to the Jewish seniors in our community by holding holiday services at local senior facilities three times during the year – for the High Holidays, Hanukkah, and Passover. Usually we contact our more than 100 volunteers and have been awed over and over again at how they, and their children show up to bring food, smiles and caring to our Jewish elders. This year our Passover celebrations are scheduled for the week before Passover – during Spring break for many districts. This is going to make it a lot harder to get our needed ritual foods, and the sense of community support that we want our seniors to have, since many families will be out of town.

If you’ve never taken part in volunteering for a Jewish Family Service event, won’t you please consider doing so now? And if you can’t volunteer your time, dropping off one of the food items below would be greatly appreciated.

Below is a list of the senior facilities where we will be holding abbreviated Passover seders. We would appreciate any and all things that you might do - from bringing a jar of horseradish, to helping out, or mingling with the seniors and helping them feel cared about. Here's our schedule as it stands right now. Call or email us if you can help in any way.
