Singles Soar to New Heights
the Highest Peak in
Steppin Out Adventures, the
group known for getting Jewish singles out and
enjoying the great outdoors, is pleased to offer a
hassel-free way to explore a part of Africa that
many dream about but few ever reach. From October 21-28,
2007 Steppin' Out will take fun-loving
adults from across the country on an unforgettable
trek up Mount Kilimanjaro, the world's highest" freestanding"
mountain at 19,340 feet.
Give yourself (or members of your organization)
the chance to understand why
this feat is on so many "lifetime lists" and attempted by
22,000 adventurous souls each year.
Kilimanjaro is not a walk in the park, it' is popular
because it is achieveable by anyone in decent shape.
Amazing views and sense of extreme accomplishment is not only
for the elite climbers, but can be shared by many. Steppin'
Out has taken out the leg work of researching such a milestone
trip. Their carefully selected an outfitter,
who not only has a high success rate to the summit and
qualified guides, but has led many expert climbers as well as
documentary crews up the mountain (Disney Channel as one)
and also are the event producers of the Kili-Marathon in
Tanzania, makes it easy to help each participant get
physically and mentally prepared.
An appropriate route was selected on a number of
criteria. The Machame Route, considered the most
beautiful, is most suitable. While it is slightly longer, it is
also less crowded, and with an added extra
day, there is more time to acclimate and thus the
idea of reaching the top more of a
reality. While none of the routes require
specialized equipment, mountaineering skills, or even past
climbing experience, the climb is demanding and is
guaranteed to be a life-changing experience for those up to
All equipment and
supplies will be portered, and meals will be prepared for
And, of course, experienced guides will be there
to help through the navigation, dramatic climate changes,
fatigue, and obstacles that may come up. Meanwhile,
participants, with camera in hand, will be soaking up the
majestic, almost mystical beauty of this natural wonder. Tackling Mount Kilimanjaro
truly is rewarding, and being able to do it with a supportive,
fun-loving group, makes it all the more special.
For those who
want to continue on after returning to base and celebrating
your accomplishments, there is an optional 13-day extension
(can be less) to Tanzania where you will be able
to explore the Serengetti and view part of the mass
wildebeest migration, lions hunting prey, leopards in
trees, (no guarnatee) meet the local tribespeople
and go hunting with tribesman, mountain bike by
local coffee growers and craftsmen.
for non-members of Steppin Out, however there
are discounts. This includes all
transport, guides, meals, accommodations, and government and
park fees and taxes, but excludes airfare. The Tanzania extension
