Terry "Yisrael" Rielly and Ilan Glazer

Thursday, January 8, 7pm
Bonai Shalom

Terry grew up with the understanding (and was told often) that his ability to sing was a "G~d given gift". This in part, has guided Terry into becoming a prolific song writer (1500+ songs) and committed to using his musical performance abilities to connect with people everywhere he travels."My desire as I get older" he explains "is to increase my "d'vekut" (G~d-consciousness), and be a witness to G~d's love in the world."With his wife and soon to be ordained rabbinic pastor, Sherril Gilbert, Terry has had the opportunity to lead Jewish community in Montreal, Quebec and throughout Canada. For the most part, it has been through music that Terry seems to have been blessed with an ability to inspire others and connect with holiness.

Terry has pursued a deep love for Jewish ritual, customs, and history. Two years ago, Terry spent Shavuot with percussionist and rabbinical student, Ilan Glazer. Once again it was the music and their love for G~d that drew these two men into a friendship that continues to grow and flourish.

This line from one of his own songs perhaps sums up what Terry Rielly is about, "I see G~d's face in all that I see..." Prepare yourselves for songs of deep reflection; songs which will touch your soul; songs of immense joy and praise for G~d's great works.

Concert will be 7 pm at Bonai on the 8th. $10 suggested donation but no one turned away for lack of funds.
