Temple of Song: Ancient Hebrew Medicine for the Modern Seeker

An Inspired Shabbat Ritual with Danya Uriel and Eyal Rivlin

Also featuring master musicians Steve Bross (tabla), Cynthia Jaffe (flute), and Ken Bernstein (bass).

This participatory Shabbat ritual creates a welcoming community space to lovingly nourish yourself through voice and body. Drawing on the power of ancient Hebrew, Danya and Eyal have created an accessible way to reclaim these profound practices in a modern context. While invoking the collective consciousness of four millennia of mystical teachings, they also delight communities with healthy doses of humor, joy and exciting new interpretations. No previous musical background or knowledge of Hebrew is necessary, all are welcome!

Danya Uriel and Eyal Rivlin are dedicated to revitalizing chanting as a form of meditation and ecstatic prayer. Also known as the duo, Temple, their CD, Coming Home, was released by Sounds True in July 2007. For more information please visit www.HebrewChanting.com
