AT PARDES LEVAVOT.......

Thank You!

Thanks to the Fibich/Yulsman family - Sylvia, Tom, Sam and Anna - for our oneg this past Saturday morning, and for creating our sacred space.

Events This Week

Kabbalat Shabbat Service
Friday, February 10, 7-9pm

This Friday will be another very special Shabbos for Pardes Levavot. It will again be "Bring A Friend to Shabbos" evening, and we will be hosting more than a dozen students from the Boulder Jewish Day School, plus their teachers and family. And the students will help lead parts of our service! Another Pardes Levavot event not to be missed. Watch for more details in your email this week.

Chanting and Meditation

Chanting and Meditation led by Rabbi Nadya Gross. This weekly chant and meditation group meets Thursdays 7 to 9 pm at our shul. Join us as we engage in spiritual practice and deep connection, creating sacred space in our lives midweek.

Baruch Dayan HaEmet - Blessed is the True Judge

There will be a memorial service for Hanalei Laner's beloved grandmother, who passed away on January 21, on Wednesday evening, February 8, at 7pm at Cathy and Steve's house, 2195 Topaz in North Boulder. Please join us in supporting Hanalei in this time of loss. It is a mitzvah to bring some food to share and to eat something afterward.

To get there: Take 26th st. (Don't take 19th) north from Iris. Follow to Norwood. Go through stop sign, continuing on 26th, four blocks north of Norwood, to Topaz. Go left (west) on Topaz. Go about the distance of one block and the house is on the right.

What will YOU do when you when it costs $350 to fill up your car?

Come to a showing of the DVD "Peak Oil" and a discussion to follow moderated by Daniel Sherman as part of his bar-mitzvah project. Pardes Levavot and Shepherd of the Hills members and friends are invited. Sunday, February 26, 4-6pm at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church / Pardes Levavot shul. Please RSVP to Daniel Sherman (so we know how large a room to reserve) todanielsher@msn.com or call at (303) 444-0622.

Please Join Us as Daniel A. Sherman becomes bar Mitzvah.

BJCC Purim Carnival Volunteers

We are seeking a volunteer from Pardes Levavot to attend an organizational meeting on Wednesday, February 8, 11am at the JCC for the JCC Purim Carnival. This is a very fun event, with the emphasis on younger kids. The carnival was so successful last year, they are hoping for repeat without the snow this year. Please email info@pardeslevavot.org if you can attend.

Sharing Our Sacred Space

Team needed to help out once or more this month to move outdoor stuff off 2 lots we're selling. PLEASE HELP! See Pastor Larry ASAP

Did you know that all the consumables used at Pardes Levavot and Shepherd of the Hills are provided by donations from our community members? There is no budget for these things, so we depend on your kindness. We have agreed that members of Pardes Levavot will be responsible for supplies during even-numbered months. If everyone can pitch in just a little bit we'll have it taken care of. Please leave donations in the office, and if the office is closed leave donations on the floor outside the sliding glass door into the office. Thank you!

When shopping in February, please keep these items in mind:
paper towels (rolls)
30 gallon trash bags

Please remind everyone to keep doors open/closed as pink signs say, turn their thermostats down and MAKE SURE NO OUTSIDE DOORS ARE PROPPED OPEN. Thanks!

Thanks for your help!!

Zeek invites submissions from artists and writers whose work touches upon the Jewish experience in a new and interesting way.
