AT PARDES LEVAVOT

Thank You!

Purim 2007Thank you to everyone who created and participated in our first annual Karaoke Purim. It was a smashing evening - Lerner and Loewe have nothing on us! Thank you to Lisa Trank, Jack Greene and Amitai Gross for creating the musical extravaganza, and thank you to all the spur-of-the-moment stars who performed. And thanks to the Circle of Family Education families who baked Hamentashen for our noshing.

Congratulations to proud parents Tamar Ares and Kyle Williams on the naming of their daughter, Jasmine Orit Ares Williams.

Thank you to Aunt Ariella and Aunt Deborah who made donations in honor of Jasmine Orit.

We are still glowing from Esther's Feast.
If you were not able to attend this festive event, there is still time to get your donations in at www.pardeslevavot.org/donate.html. This week is your last chance to write a tribute for inclusion in the Tribute Book we are giving to Rabbi Nadya and Rabbi Victor. Send your tribute to our Rabbis to Lisa Trank at ltrank@comcast.net.

One of the most influential rabbis of the 20th century, Abraham Joshua Heschel may be best known for marching with Martin Luther King - the subject of Menorah's January program, which left many who attended longing to learn more. Indeed, there's much more to Heschel than social activism. Come learn more about this great scholar, theologian, writer and teacher from one of his students, Rabbi Victor Gross. Rabbi Victor Gross was a student of Professor Heschel in the late 60's and had a personal  relationship with him and his family and paid a partial debt to his influence by writing his Ph.D. on him.
