AT PARDES LEVAVOT
SPECIAL NOTE:
Dear Hearts:
This year, the ALEPH Kallah returns to our region - it will be held
July 2-8 in Albuquerque, NM. This is the international gathering which
takes place every other year in a different part of the U.S. It
attracts over 800 renewelers, including 100+ children. There's
something for everyone. Incredible class offerings (including one being
taught by Reb Victor & Reb Nadya), deep davenen, fun evening
programs, and a most amazing Kids Kallah!
There are brochures at shul, or you can see it on the web at www.aleph.org/kallah.html.
You can also view
the ALEPH Kallah FAQ.
Special discounts are offered for first-timers and for a Minyan (that's
10 or more people registering together from one congregation).
Lets bring our Pardes spirit to Kallah, and then bring back the Kallah
inspiration to our community!
Talk to our rabbis about their Kallah experience. Its what brought them
into Jewish renewal in the first place!
Thank
You
Thank you to the Pardes
Levavot Community Council for
providing our oneg this past Saturday - Reb Nadya's birthday!
Thank you to the members of Pardes Levavot who showed up for a most
enjoyable time picking up litter along our adopted road. David Kirsh,
Glenn Greenberg, Fred Berkelhammer and Jim Wright. It was a lovely
afternoon, the company was great, and our road is once again nice and
clean. Thanks! We look forward to all the rest of you joining us for
the fall cleanup.

Moral Grandeur and
Spiritual Audacity - The Legacy of A. J. Heschel
A six-week class with Rabbi
Victor Gross and guest speakers
Tuesdays, 10:30 am - noon
March 6, 13, 20, April 17, 24, May 1
Drop-ins welcome! $18, or $16 for JCC members
One of the most influential rabbis of the 20th century, Abraham Joshua
Heschel may be best known for marching with Martin Luther King - the
subject of Menorah's January program, which left many who attended
longing to learn more. Indeed, there's much more to Heschel than social
activism. Come learn more about this great scholar, theologian, writer
and teacher from one of his students, Rabbi Victor Gross. Rabbi Victor
Gross was a student of Professor Heschel in the late 60's and had a
personal relationship with him and his family and paid a partial debt
to his influence by writing his Ph.D. on him.

Contemplative Shabbaton Retreat

Sunshine Mountain Inn, Allenspark,
Colorado
Cost: $140 per person, which includes room and all meals.
Cost for children 5-11 years: $90; under 5 years, no charge
Gather for Shabbat Dinner at 5:30 p.m., May 25 to begin our weekend of
prayer, chant, study, silence in nature, and rest.
The Pardes Levavot Program Committee is pleased to invite you to a
contemplative Shabboton retreat the weekend of May 25-27. A retreat
gives us the opportunity to unfold in our intention to connect with the
Divine. In this holy exploration, because we are in community, we can
support each other in whatever our personal process reveals. The circle
of community amplifies our intention and allows the Orchard to
experience its own reflection. In these shared moments, we may deepen
within and between ourselves in ways that aren't afforded in weekly
services. We will chant, dance, pray, study, engage with the mystery
as it descends in response to our sacred purpose.
Please RSVP to Shoshana Nejman, 303-443-5695 or e-mail: shoshanarose@earthlink.net
