AT
PARDES LEVAVOT
Thank
You
Welcome to our
newest member family - Marty and Jordan Honig! Say hello and introduce
yourself and welcome them into our community.
Thank you to Jim Wright for providing kiddush after our services this
past Saturday.
Thank you to Sara Berkelhammer for a very kind donation to the general
fund.
Thanks to everyone who donated food for our Thanksgiving baskets for
the Community Infant Project. And a big thanks to everyone who came in
to help pack the boxes with all the food. It was great fun! We
collected much more food than the CIP caseworkers requested, so in
addition to providing a hearty Thanksgiving meal including a whole
turkey, milk, eggs and all the canned and dry goods to every CIP
family, we are donating food to additional service agencies in the
Boulder area. What good work!

Join us as we head out with Shepherd of the Hills to clean our section
of highway - 71st Street between Mineral Road and Lookout Road. Bring
warm layered clothes, shoes appropriate for walking along the side of
the road, and work gloves. We will meet at the shul to work out
logistics, pass out safety vests and discuss roadside safety, and then
head out for the cleaning. This is always a great way to get to know
other members of our congregation and enjoy an hour or two outdoors. We
look forward to seeing you there!

Moses
was sitting in the Egyptian ghetto. Things were terrible: Pharaoh
wouldn't even speak to him. The rest of the Israelites were mad at him
and making the overseers even more irritable than usual. He was about
ready to give up.
Suddenly a booming, sonorous voice spoke from above:
"You, Moses, heed me! I have good news and bad news."
Moses was staggered. The voice continued:
"You, Moses, will lead the People of Israel from bondage. If Pharaoh
refuses to release your bonds, I will smite Egypt with a rain of frogs."
"You, Moses, will lead the People of Israel to the Promised Land. If
Pharaoh blocks your way, I will smite Egypt with a plague of Locust."
"You, Moses, will lead the People of Israel to freedom and safety. If
Pharaoh's army pursues you, I will part the waters of the Red Sea to
open your path to the Promised Land."
Moses was stunned. He stammered, "That's.... that's fantastic. I can't
believe it! But what's the bad news?"
"You, Moses, must write the Environmental Impact Statement."
