Events Coming
Up
Please join
Pardes Levavot as we celebrate the High Holy Days for 5769. We are not
selling tickets for our services - they are free and open to the
community! Please get the word out. Anyone who has been offended in the
past by the idea of "pay to pray" should be sure to attend. We have an
amazing group of elders, leaders and teachers who will lead our
services. Sure to be a heart opening experience. Invite all your
friends. Rosh HaShanah begins Monday evening, September 29 with
services from 7pm to 9:30pm.
Setup Help
We will be
setting up for the High Holy Days on Sunday,
September 28 at 2:00pm. This involves putting together the
meditation chuppot, moving some chairs and tables, etc. Decorations
will be put up
starting around 4:30pm. We can use all the help
you can provide, even if you can only be there for an hour.
We will be taking down everything, and setting up the sukkah the day
after Yom Kippur, Friday October 10, at 9:00 a.m. Again, all the help
you can provide is
appreciated.
With enough hands none of this takes very long. Thank you all.
Getting
Involved
From the
Shepherd of the Hills Bulletin
Community
Infant
Program (CIP) – Bring baby items to help
struggling parents and single mothers. There is an ongoing need for
disposable diapers for young families with children. You can bring them
to the church. Thank you!

David called his mother in Florida. He said to his mother, "Ma, how are
you doing?"
She said, "Oy, not too good. I've been very weak."
David then asked, "Why are you so weak?"
She said, "Because I haven't eaten in 38 days."
David then asked, "Ma, how come you haven't eaten in 38 days?"
She said, "Because I didn't want my mouth to be filled with food when
you called."
