attended and made it such a special time. We look forward to seeing you
all at Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur.

Simchat Torah
- Pardes Levavot and Nevei Kodesh, with Reb Zalman
Tuesday, Oct. 21,
7:00pm
Join
us for a joyous and mystical evening as we celebrate the completion of
the annual Torah cycle with music and dance embodying the kabbalistic
Tree of Life. We will include a "Torah I-Ching" ritual, where we
unscroll the entire Torah and each person points to a passage to find
personal guidance for the coming year. This is a family oriented event.
Please bring a dessert, juice or spring water to share! Location: Unity
Church, 2855 Folsom St (at Valmont), Fellowship Hall. Cost: free for
members of Pardes Levavot and Nevei
Kodesh, guests $10; childcare $2/child.
Special
Member Needs/Offerings
Visit artists'
studios throughout Boulder in this annual event. And be especially sure
to visit the studios of painter Lael
Har and potter Mark
Rossier, both members of Pardes Levavot! October 11 & 12 is the
second of two weekends.
House
Sitter
We
live on Sugarloaf 10 miles west of Boulder. We are looking for a
house sitter for Friday night December 19th through dinner Friday
January 9, 2009. We have 2 very friendly dogs, and 3 well-behaved
horses. The dogs need to be walked twice a day, and fed dinner, with
company over night. The horses need to be fed twice a day. And the
water tanks need to be filled about every 7 days. It is beautiful and
peaceful and quiet up here. We
will be happy to pay for someone to house sit and take care of our
loving animals who are very important to us.
If you are interested, or know of someone else who might be interested,
please call me at 303 442-6656 and leave a message if I am not home,
and I will call you back.
Thank you very much.

Morty and Sam are walking their dogs by the temple on Saturday morning.
Morty says, "Lets go in. I hear they have chopped liver at the Oneg
Shabbat every Saturday."
Sam says, "They will never let us in with the dogs."
"Just follow my lead," says Morty.
Morty goes into the temple. The Shammos says, "No dogs are allowed."
Morty says, "It's my seeing eye dog!"
The Shammos says, "OK, go ahead." Sam follows. Again the Shammos says,
"No dogs are allowed."
Sam says, "It's my seeing eye dog!"
The Shammos asks, "This is your seeing eye dog? A chihuahua!"
Sam looks startled and says, "Is that what they gave me?"
