Interfaith Spiritual Pilgrimage to Israel and Palestine

Our own Rabbis, Nadya and Victor Gross, together with Imam Jihad Turk and co-founder of Salaam Shalom Educational Foundation, Shepha Schneirsohn Vainstein will be leading a moving and soulful journey this Spring (March 21 - April 1, 2010) that will begin with inspiring visits to communities of Jewish, Muslim, and Christian families transforming polarized societies in Israel through the Waldorf approach to education. With a spirit of Abrahamic unity and devotion we will visit Jewish, Christian, and Muslim holy places in Israel and Palestine. We will learn from respected teachers, pray with religious leaders, participate in peacemaking circles, and meet with inspiring activists who envision a world based on respect and cooperation. We will celebrate an interfaith Passover Seder in Jerusalem filled with storytelling and song. Our pilgrimage will conclude with a ceremony for peace at Rabin Square. We welcome those exploring Israel for the first time as well as experienced travelers.

Joseph reaches 60 and decides to see his doctor. "So what’s the matter with you this time Joseph?" asks doctor Levine.

"I’m now 60, doctor, and I just don’t seem to be able to do all the things around the house that I used to do."

"OK Joseph," says doctor Levine, "pop up on my examination table and I’ll see what I can find."

When the examination is over, Joseph says, "OK doctor, don’t be scared, I can take it. Just tell me in plain English - what’s wrong with me?"

"Do you really want to know, Joseph?" asks doctor Levine.

"Yes I do," replies Joseph.

"Well, in plain English," says doctor Levine, "you're just plain lazy."

"Okay," says Joseph, "now give me the medical term so that I can tell my wife Sarah."
